Introduction

The following list gives you a jumpstart into SmartPaste.

SmartPaste is a tool to insert text into PowerBuilder. Which text gets pasted is highly configurable. Have a look at 'What is SmartPaste' for an introduction

There are a lot of ways of how to use SmartPaste. This section shows you all of them

In the Options window you define every detail of your SmartPaste environment.

SmartPaste can be started from the command line.

SmartPaste includes hotkey pasting – simply enter the macro name in the script painter and press the SmartPaste hotkey.

Macros can include information about the script currently edited. Have a look at those generic macros.

One special kind of macros, conditional macros are explained in the section Working with conditional text.
